Dears all,
March has passed and as we prepare for work in April, I wanted to share that three of my murals were featured as book covers for French and Australian Authors, Jeannette Bougrab, A.Dirk Moses and Romain Molina.
About The murals:
The “Children of Rubble” mural was created in Sana’a city during the ongoing conflict in 2017, on the a ruins of a house middle of Sana’a, where a child raises the peace sign despite the loses, in an express about a whole generation of a war, and with a very simple demand, Peace and freedom.
The “Family Portrait” was painted inside a house which was destroyed by an airstrike in the north of Sana’a in 2015. The majority of the house’s residents, a family, have died. I had the chance to met the father which, he was around his house’ ruins, a man with face of no signs, spoke about his one years child who found her under the ruins a live, but the others were dead including his wife and his two other children.
Finally, the “Children Recruitment” mural was painted as a response to the recruitment of children into different militias around the country. Not only are children’s desires silenced but their childhood is stolen from them. With the destruction of schools and educations facilities, through the years of the ongoing conflict, the chances to turn nearly 2 millions of children to child soldiers is at it highest.
It’s a pleasure to have my work featured on topics relevant to human rights and social justice.
About the Books:
In “Un Silence De Mort”, Bougrab speaks and criticizes the war in Yemen and the role of her country, France, in fueling the conflict, as well as the silence of the international community towards civilian suffering in Yemen.
Also, in“The Problems of Genocide”, the author Jens Meierhenrich commented on the book of Anthony Dirk Moses, “A pioneer of genocide studies, Moses has written a terrific, transgressive book destined to upend the field he has helped to define. Uncomfortable with morality tales, Moses is intent on smashing the hierarchy of international established in the aftermath of world war II. A gut punch to conventional wisdom, this is critical global history at its best”
Finally, in “The Beautiful Game”, Molina argues that the most publicized sport in the world, football, is an issue of power.
at the confluence of economic, diplomatic, political and social interests, it has been the banner of various regimes using it to “unite” the nation under the conspiratorial eye of FIFA.

جداريات الحرب على أغلفة الكتب

أعزائي جميعًا ،
مر شهر مارس ، وبينما كنا نستعد للعمل في أبريل ، أردت أن أشارك في عرض ثلاث من لوحاتي الجدارية كأغلفة كتب للمؤلفين الفرنسيين والأستراليين ، جانيت بوغراب ، أ. ديرك موسى ورومان مولينا.
حول الجداريات:
رُسمت جدارية “أطفال الأنقاض” في مدينة صنعاء أثناء الصراع المستمر في عام 2017 ، على أنقاض منزل وسط صنعاء ، حيث يرفع طفل لافتة السلام رغم الخسائر الجلية في جسده، في تعبير عن جيل كامل من الحرب ، وبمطلب بسيط للغاية ، السلام والحرية.
جدارية “صورة العائلة” داخل منزل دمرته غارة جوية شمال صنعاء عام 2015. وتوفي غالبية سكان المنزل ، وهم عائلة. أتيحت لي الفرصة لمقابلة الأب ، الذي كان حول أنقاض منزله ، رجل خالي من التعابير، تحدث عن طفله الذي يبلغ من العمر عامًا واحدًا والذي وجدها تحت الأنقاض حية ، لكن الآخرين ماتوا بمن فيهم زوجته وطفليه الآخرين.
أخيرًا ، جدارية “تجنيد الأطفال” كرد على تجنيد الأطفال في الميليشيات المختلفة في جميع أنحاء البلاد. لا يتم إسكات رغبات الأطفال فحسب ، بل تُسرق منهم طفولتهم. مع تدمير المدارس والمرافق التعليمية ، خلال سنوات الصراع المستمر ، فإن فرص تحويل ما يقرب من مليوني طفل إلى جنود هي في ذروتها.
إنه لمن دواعي سروري أن أعرض عملي في مواضيع ذات صلة بحقوق الإنسان والعدالة الاجتماعية.
حول الكتب:
في “الموت الصامت” تتحدث بوغراب وتنتقد الحرب في اليمن ودور بلادها فرنسا في تأجيج الصراع ، فضلاً عن صمت المجتمع الدولي تجاه معاناة المدنيين في اليمن.
أيضًا ، في “مشاكل الإبادة الجماعية” ، علق المؤلف Jens Meierhenrich على كتاب Anthony Dirk Moses ، “رائد دراسات الإبادة الجماعية ، كتب موسى كتابًا رائعًا ومخالفًا لقلب المجال الذي ساعد في تحديده. غير مريح مع الحكايات الأخلاقية ، موسى عازم على تحطيم التسلسل الهرمي الدولي الذي تم تأسيسه في أعقاب الحرب العالمية الثانية. ضربة قوية للحكمة التقليدية ، هذا هو التاريخ العالمي الحاسم في أفضل حالاته “
أخيرًا ، في “اللعبة الجميلة” ، تجادل مولينا بأن الرياضة الأكثر انتشارًا في العالم ، كرة القدم ، هي قضية قوة.
عند التقاء المصالح الاقتصادية والدبلوماسية والسياسية والاجتماعية ، كانت راية الأنظمة المختلفة التي تستخدمها “لتوحيد” الأمة تحت العين التآمرية للفيفا.
