للحرب قدرتها على التعرية, ليس فيزيائيا فقط, بل ومعنويا.
هي تعبير عن زمن تسقط فيه كل المبادىء والأخلاق، هي زمن التوحش الخالص.

War has the ability to strip, not only physically, but morally too.
It is an expression of a time when all principles and ethics fall, it is a time of pure savagery.

Massacre مجزره
حاولت ان اجد إسم لهذا العمل يصف لحظة عملي عليها, إسم يصفها اكثر من مجرد كلمة, فلم أجد إلا “مجزره”.
لا أعرف عدد المجازر التي مرت على اليمنيين منذ إندلاع الحرب وقبلها أيضا, لكن من عددها الهائل، فقد صارت أمر طبيعيا نألفه وبعد حدوثه نمضي وكأن شيئأ لم يكن.
I tried to find a name for this work that describes the moment I work on it, a name that describes it more than just a word, and I only found a “Massacre”.
I do not know the number of massacres that have passed on the Yemenis since the outbreak of the war and before it as well, but of its enormous number, it has become a natural matter, and after its occurrence we proceed as if nothing had happened.

“The Last Dance of the Dead”
“رقصة الموتى الأخيرة”
جمعني لقاء في نوفمبر 2019 المنصرم في القصر الرئاسي الفرنسي “الأليزيه” مع اثنان من المستشارين وكنت ضمن سبعة من مبعوثي المنظمات الدولية في فرنسا, للحديث عن الحرب في اليمن, وعن الضحايا من المدنيين.
قدمت خلالها أربع لوحات فنية ضمن مجموعة “رقصة الموتى الأخيرة” كرسالة إحتجاج وهدية في ذات الوقت، للأليزيه وللرئيس الفرنسي أيمنانويل ماكرون, في محاولة لنقل الوضع بشكل غير مباشر مع ضحايا الحرب.
“The Last Dance of the Dead”
A meeting in November 2019 at the French presidential palace “Elysee” brought me together with two of President Emmanuel Macron’s advisers on the government side and five people from the international organizations in France, to talk about the war in Yemen and its effects on the people.
During the meeting I presented four paintings within the group “The Last Dance of the Dead” as a message of protest and a gift at the same time, to the Elysée and the French President, in an attempt to focus on the victims of the war.
