“Fetus of Coffin” Mural. 19 June 2021

On a stormy day on the shores of the city of Port de Bocu, southern France, I executed this mural on one of the ruins of the World War II, this cement block was used as one of the fortifications spread on the French beaches.

The mural “Fetus of Coffin” is the title of this work, which I had previously painted on one of the walls in the city of Sana’a, in 2016 during the war that is still raging until now.

A work in which I tried to express an entire generation born from the womb of war and still living it in all its details. The body of a rickety fetus filled with pain and before it even saw the light of life, barbed wires instead of an umbilical cord, which are supposed to provide him with life in this cursed womb.

  The world wars did not end, but its forms and methods changed.

I participated by the mural of “Fetus of Coffin” within the “Another World is Possible” festival. June 19, 2021.

في يوم عاصف على شواطىء مدينة “بورت دو بوك” جنوب فرنسا, نفذت هذه الجدارية على إحدى أنقاض من الحرب العالمية الثانية, حيث كان يستخدم هذه  الكتلة الإسمنتية كإحدى التحصينات المنتشرة على الشواطىء الفرنسية.

جدارية “جنين الكفن” هو عنوان هذا العمل, والذي كان قد سبق لي رسمه على إحدى الجدران في مدينة صنعاء, عام  2016 أثناء الحرب التي مازالت مستعرة حتى اللحظة.

عمل حاولت التعبير فيه عن جيل بأكمله ولد من رحم الحرب ومازال يعيش كل تفاصيلها. جسد لجنين متهالك يملئة الألم و قبل ان يرى  نور الحياة حتى, أسلاك شائكة لا حبل سري, تلك التي يفترض بها ان تمده بالحياة في هذا الرحم الملعون.

  لم تنتهي الحروب العالمية هنا, بل تغيرت أشكالها ووسائلها.

Par un jour de mistral sur les rives de la ville de Port de Bouc dans le sud de la France, j’ai exécuté ce collage sur l’une des ruines de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Ce bloc de ciment a été utilisé comme l’une des fortifications répandues sur les plages françaises.

La fresque “Fœtus du cercueil” est le titre de cette œuvre que j’avais précédemment peinte sur l’un des murs de la ville de Sana’a au Yémen en 2016 pendant la guerre qui fait encore rage aujourd’hui.

Une œuvre dans laquelle j’ai tenté d’exprimer toute une génération née du ventre de la guerre et qui la vit encore dans toutes ses atrocités. Le corps d’un fœtus rachitique rempli de douleur qui avant même de voir la lumière de la vie a des fils barbelés à la place d’un cordon ombilical qui est censé lui fournir la vie dans ce ventre maudit.

  Les guerres mondiales n’ont pas pris fin, mais leurs formes et leurs méthodes ont changé.

J’ai participé à la fresque du “Fœtus de cercueil” dans le cadre du festival “Un autre monde est possible” le 19 juin 2021.
